How Jessica uses Shootstack to improve her workflow and earn more with Shootstack

During her speech therapy studies, Jessica's passion for photography continued to flourish. Initially, she photographed a variety of subjects: babies, families, portraits, animals, but she quickly realized that capturing love between people was what she enjoyed most. It's no wonder she became curious about photographing weddings at some point. "When I delved into wedding photography, I was hooked," says Jessica. She decided to fully immerse herself in it, and it quickly gained traction. "The wedding requests started pouring in so fast that I decided to quit my studies and become a full-time wedding photographer," says Jessica enthusiastically.

From wedding photographer to branding photographer

In addition to photographing weddings full-time, Jessica also developed an online platform for photographers to learn the craft. While her love for capturing weddings was immense, Jessica's online education business continued to grow. "Wedding photography is such a beautiful profession, but it was also very intense to combine with my education business," says Jessica.

She decided to scale back her wedding photography work and focus more on branding shoots. Jessica had always enjoyed photographing female entrepreneurs, but she never had enough time to incorporate this aspect fully. She noticed that this was truly a distinct profession that required a different workflow. Jessica says, "I love diving into a business with an entrepreneur and creating beautiful, fitting images to enhance her company's image."

Why Shootstack is essential for delivering photos

When Jessica started as a wedding photographer, she still used USB sticks. "Not very modern, of course, but I didn't know any better," says Jessica. She also used WeTransfer for a while to send photo shoots, but she missed the beautiful end result for her clients. "It's just a shame not to present your work in a beautiful way after a photo shoot. Your clients miss out on a piece of experience!" Meanwhile, Shootstack has become indispensable in Jessica's workflow, and she also earns a lot more by working with upsells after a shoot. "Thanks to Shootstack, selling extra photos is so much easier!" she says.

Jessica's delivery workflow to earn more with Shootstack

Jessica explains that her workflow as a wedding photographer was very different from her current workflow as a branding photographer. Couples received a full selection of all the beautiful photos after a wedding. For branding photo shoots, she lets her clients choose their favorite photos first via Shootstack. "A package contains a certain number of photos, and they can always order extra photos." With this workflow, she always earns extra with every photo shoot.

After the shoot, Jessica first makes a preselection of the best photos. She gives these photos an initial edit and then uploads them to a preview photo set with a watermark. The client can then choose the photos themselves via Shootstack. "By editing the photos a bit beforehand, the chances are higher that clients will choose more photos," Jessica suggests.

She then copies the selected photos to Lightroom with just one click. She then edits all the chosen photos and uploads them to a new photo set so that clients can download them. This way, her workflow is very fast and efficient.
