Shootstack was founded in the Netherlands by entrepreneur Jiry van Dam. During his previous venture, he got in touch with several photographers. He discovered that in a business where everything is about the end result and customer experience, photographers were missing out on many opportunities.

Photos were hidden away on a usb stick, or sent via a link that expires after a few days. The favorite proofing workflow was also very time-consuming as photographers and clients went back and forth via emails.

A modern solution was missing for photographers to upgrade their workflow and deliver their work to amaze their clients. After a long process of brainstorming and building a solution, Shootstack was born.
