Lotte and Birgit met in 2017 and they quickly realized that their combined talents and passions were a perfect match. Lotte, a successful animal photographer, and Birgit, an experienced product designer, decided to join forces to create something unique and functional for photographers. The Beginning of The Hantler

The inspiration for The Hantler arose when Lotte was searching for a double camera strap for an upcoming wedding. "I didn't want to order a strap from America due to concerns about quality and high costs," Lotte explains. She shared this with Birgit, and together they developed the first camera strap for Lotte. “After it turned out to be a success, we saw so many opportunities for photographers,” Birgit recounts. They discovered that many photographers faced the same issue, and so The Hantler was born.

Born from Passion and Craftsmanship

With the same drive and passion to bring innovation to the camera strap market, The Hantler was launched in 2020. "Even though we launched during the COVID-19 pandemic, we immediately noticed a high demand," says Lotte.

Since then, The Hantler has become known as a brand synonymous with craftsmanship and innovation. Each design from The Hantler is meticulously thought out to meet the needs of various types of photographers.

Each camera strap from The Hantler is handmade in their own atalier in The Netherlands. "This allows us to craft each product with great care and attention to detail," Birgit explains.
