Learn more about download limits and bandwidth

Last updated on January 17, 2024

You can set a limit on how many times your customers can download their gallery. To prevent abuse of photo downloads and your bandwidth, the download limit is initially set to 5 times. You can easily increase this number or turn the limit off.

Note: You can also set a limit on single photo downloads. This can be useful for your workflow to inform clients that they are allowed to download a certain number of photos.

Bandwidth

In Shootstack, bandwidth refers to the amount of data you can download each month, typically measured in GB. With our plans, you have the flexibility to download up to 10 times the GB included in your plan every month.

Your bandwidth usage is calculated based on the size of the files you download and how many times you download them. For instance, if your plan includes 10GB of bandwidth, you clients can download up to 100GB of data per month.

If you exceed your bandwidth limit for your plan, your Shootstack account won't be suspended right away. Instead, you'll receive a notification informing you of the excess usage and suggesting options to manage it, such as upgrading your plan to accommodate the increased download needs.
