In this guide, you’ll learn how to copy your client’s favorite photos from Shootstack to Lightroom, allowing you to edit them further before sending the final gallery.

Copy client's favorite list

To start, open the client’s gallery in Shootstack, go to Activity, select Favorites, and then click on their favorite list.

In the favorite list, click on the three dots in the top right corner and choose Copy Filename. Then, open Lightroom to prepare for pasting the filenames.

Paste filenames in Lightroom

In Lightroom, press CMD/CTRL + F to access the Library Filter. Set the filter to Filename, Contains and paste the copied filenames into the search field.

Important: Make sure you’ve uploaded the files to Shootstack with their original filenames. If filenames were changed, Lightroom won’t be able to locate them. Make sure the Rename box was unchecked when you first exported the photos from Lightroom.

After you have the favorite photos in Lightroom, mark them with an additional star rating and start editing. Once finished, save the photos in high resolution.

Upload the final photos

Finally, upload your edited photos to a new photo set in Shootstack. Set up the gallery, activate the correct photo set, and send the final gallery to your client.
