What are collection tags?

You can add one or more tags to each collection you create in Shootstack. This helps you filter your work and quickly find all collections with the same tag or tag combination.

Tags can be used in different ways to build a clear, well-structured workflow.

Create and edit collection tags

To create a new tag, go to your collections, click on Tags, then choose Edit tags. Here, you can easily add or modify your tags.

When creating a new collection, you can immediately assign a tag.

Want to add or change a tag later? Select the right collection, click the three dots at the top left of your screen, and choose Edit.

Here, you can add or remove tags.

Smart workflows

There are several ways to use collection tags. Below are some smart and useful workflow examples:

1. Overview by type of shoot

This is a great starting point to use tags. It allows you to quickly filter by the type of shoot, such as:

• Wedding

• Portrait

• Branding

• Family

• Newborn

This makes it easy to work efficiently on different projects.

2. Status of your photoshoots

Use tags to keep track of the status of each shoot. This is especially helpful when you're managing multiple sessions and find it difficult to keep track of which clients have already made their selection and which galleries are ready to be delivered. You can create different tags, for example:

• Selection received

• In editing

• Ready for delivery

• Delivered

Make sure to adjust or add statuses that work best for you. This helps you always know what still needs to be delivered.

To change the status of a shoot, select the collection and click Edit (as explained above).

3. Social media permission

You can also use tags to keep track of which galleries you have permission to share online. For example:

• Social media approved

• No social media permission

Whenever you want to share a photo, just filter by the right tag and you’ll instantly see all collections that are approved for sharing.
