Create multiple favorites lists in one gallery
In this guide you will learn how to create multiple favorites lists within a single gallery. This is especially useful when sending galleries to families or groups, allowing each person or household to make their own selection and being able to collaborate on a shared list for group photos.

When you’re sending out a gallery where multiple people need to select their favorite photos, it can be helpful if they’re also able to see each other’s lists, or even create a shared favorites list. This is especially useful for larger family shoots with multiple households. Each family might want to choose their own photos, while also selecting group images together.
In this guide, you’ll learn how to set this up for your clients.
Step 1: Create multiple favorites lists and link them to one email address
Go to the relevant gallery
Click on
Activity
and open theFavorites
tabClick the button in the top-right corner to
create a new favorites list
Fill in the
email address
your clients want to use, and thename
of the list. You can also set a photo limit and add a short description if needed.

To make this work smoothly, its important to link all favorites lists to the same email address
. Everyone who uses this email will be able to view and add to the linked lists.

For example create a favorite list for:
Favorites Family A
Favorites Family B
Shared Favorites
Step 2: Send the gallery with clear instructions
When you send out the gallery, let your client know they need to click the heart icon and log in using the shared email address (e.g. family@example.com).

After that, they can choose which favorites list to add the photo to. Shared selections (like group shots) can go into the shared list.

Step 3: Remind them to use the “Share” button
Once they’ve finished selecting, they can scroll to the bottom of the favorites list and click Share favorites
. That’s when you’ll receive a notification
that the selection is complete. Without this step, you won’t be notified, so make sure to highlight it in your instructions.

Step 4: Test it yourself (optional)
To be sure everything is set up correctly, you can log in with the chosen email address yourself. You should immediately see the lists you’ve created and can verify whether notifications are working.
